Revisiting Alternate Worlds

This blog has come a long way since I started Alternate History Weekly Update last June.  Originally I planned to post only once a week, reporting only the news and maybe a couple of interviews every month.  As time went by the "Weekly Update" format evolved and I and the other contributors posted other articles, reviews, showcases and more.

Nevertheless, there was a period where the "Weekly Update" post would be the only post.  They were filled not just with the news, but with essays and opinion pieces that I managed to squeeze in.  I want to give some of my earlier work a chance to be seen by a larger audience, especially those who did not tune into Alternate History Weekly Update when it began.  So for the rest of this month I am going to be sharing with you some undeveloped ideas that have been expanded and polished up.

Here is what you can expect in the near future (in no particular order):
  • Expanded commentary on American Civil War, American Presidential Elections, Balkanized North America and other alternate histories.
  • A new and improved "New Editors Guide to 1983: Doomsday".
  • A proper showcase for Ad Astra Per Aspera.
  • The "Dangers of Crosstime Travel", followed by "How to Profit from the Multiverse".
