2015 Sidewise Award Nominees Have Been Announced

The 2015 Sidewise Awards for Alternate History nominees have been announced. These nominees are actually from the first reading period that I have been a judge, so I am very excited about this. Enough chatter, lets take a look at the short form (stories under 60,000 words) award nominees:

• Eneasz Brodski, “Red Legacy”
• Eric Cline, “Elizabethtown”
• Bill Crider, “It Doesn't Matter Anymore” (review)
• Reu Dicerto, “Losing Amelia”
• Ken Poyner, “The Last of Time”
• James Reasoner, “The Hero of Deadwood” (review)

And the long form (stories over 60,000 words) award nominees are:

• Julie Mayhew, The Big Lie
• Tony Schumacher, The British Lion (review)
• Harry Turtledove, Joe Steele (review)

Although I did read most of these stories, I did not review all of them for some reason. Expect my review of The Big Lie this week, but in the meantime, congratulations to all of our nominees. We will all find out the winners at MidAmeriCon II, August 17-21
