The first is that the Nazis prac...Two items to add. The first is that the Nazis practiced firing a V2 from a U-boat. Not an easy way to hit America but one they considered. Easier would have been a V2 on a Q-boat. The second item was when they had enough materials for a reactor, distrust caused the materials to be split among labs so no one had enough. But, at the end of the war, the Allies discovered a crude reactor in a cave so they had not stopped working on a fission bomb.
