I use the horrendous prejudice and hypocrisy of the Victorian/Edwardian periods to highlight the themes. (Although the stories themselves are murder-mystery-action-adventure-thriller.)<br /><br />The associated Frozen Beauty novellas (same setting, different characters) also have them.<br /><br />All my books except one are in the same alternate history setting.
