One quibble, and it's the...I liked EXCHANGE. <br /><br />One quibble, and it's the same one I had with the "Jurassic Park" movies: there's a reason the megafauna went extinct when it came in contact with human beings, except to a limited extent in Africa where it co-evolved with us. <br /><br />And note that it isn't humans that are endangered in Africa. <br /><br />Even leaving guns out of the question, I've met a man who was attacked by a lion while he was sitting by a campfire... and killed it with his hunting knife. Back in the 19th century, there was a tribe in the Sudan who hunted elephants with swords; they ran up behind them and hamstrung them. Humans are the ultimate apex predator.<br /><br />Especially with guns available, big fierce animals are a -solved problem-. Generally speaking, if people meet big fierce animals, it's the animals that are in danger.<br /><br />Insects, bacteria and viruses are the real threats in an unfamiliar environment, with small fast-breeding vermin species a distant second. <br /><br />With the rest it's a case of "Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I shall fear no evil, for I am the baddest bastard in the valley."S.M.
