This happens sometimes but it really, really ain't the way to bet. Governments exist to monopolize and administer the violence function -- to kill people, smash or take their stuff, lock them up, and to intimidate them by the threat of same. Generally speaking they're going to be much better at this than any group of amateurs, which is why deeply sad (but also funny) stuff like the occasional "stand-off" occurs, as with what recently happened in Oregon. There's another common fallacy: the idea that you can deter a government agency by killing its grunts. In fact, they just send more.S.M. No one can understand him, unlike Bowman. But if you expect everyone to agree with you 100% you are doing to be very disappointed in the future.

Novels need people you can root for. The only rootable character in TTD is the guy Turner orders killed for refusing to kill civilians.

ChrisAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5080248961176338496.post-25482191699890252932012-05-07T17:42:26.016-05:002012-05-07T17:42:26.016-05:00Wow, just wow. He is an unpleasant man who does unpleasant things. He is no more reacting to the real America of his book's day than Henry Bowman is reacting to the real America of his day. In each case, the protagonist is pushed to unthinkable acts by a situation which has spiraled out of control. Like Unintended Consequences, The Turner Diaries is a cautionary tale. If multiculturalism is allowed to run its course, then the actions of Earl Turner and his associates become inevitable. It is up to us to stop things before it comes to that.

I would have expected you to understand the point of it, but I also would have expected you to know the difference between "compliment" and "complement", so I guess I just have to get used to being disappointed by Chris Nuttall.kreuzritter88noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5080248961176338496.post-65436389082832931732012-05-07T12:00:43.618-05:002012-05-07T12:00:43.618-05:00My review of it is posted at http://www.counter-fa...My review of it is posted at http://www.counter-factual.net/upload/showthread.php?t=8129&highlight=Turner+Diaries

I was not complementry.

ChrisAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5080248961176338496.post-58492586875937788612012-05-07T07:08:03.419-05:002012-05-07T07:08:03.419-05:00So you have read it? Mr. Nuttall does an admirable job here of disassociating this book from similar left-wing smears.

I was addressing Chris anyway.
